The CGIT Purpose:
As a Canadian Girl in Training,Under the leadership of Jesus

  1. I am looking for any information on my Grandfather, dr. John A. Johnston from stayner, who i believe helped to iniate this program. He died in 1918.

    • Thanks for your inquiry Stephanie. I have done a little bit of digging here into the history information that I have. I have not found anything mentioning your Grandfather. Of course that is not to say he was not involved, but unfortunately I don’t have anything to help you in your “investigations”. Good luck and if you find any information that we could include in our archives please pass it along.
If anyone else has information please share it here.

  2. Hi, I am a CGIT graduate many years ago. How can I find a CGIT group who need a leader? I am looking for a position in Edmonton, Alberta.

    Thank you,

  3. Wondering if there are an remembrances of the CGIT group that met in Macdonald’s Baptist Church in Edmonton, Alberta led by Alice Potts. My mother was a member and I am guessing that was sometime between 1935-1945.

    • Not sure just what you are looking for, but there are many photos and other bits of Alberta CGIT memorabilia at the Glenbow Archives in Calgary.
