CGIT Camp Kalalla is excited to announce that as of 2019, we will be celebrating 70 years of Christian camping for girls ages 7 to 16.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Camp Kalalla is a non-profit, charitable overnight camp, owned and operated by the Ottawa CGIT Committee. Camp Kalalla also offers a Leadership program for young women aged 16 or finished Grade 10.
Kalalla, meaning “Meeting Place”, is a place where girls and women can develop their Christian beliefs in the beautiful Gatineau Hills outside of Ottawa. The camp’s programming includes canoeing, swimming, kayaking, crafts, nature exploration, Discovery Time, hiking, overnights, Vespers and yoga.
The goals are to:
create a community where every person plays an important part in developing a positive, safe environment for all to enjoy;
encourage self-respect, to build confidence and to promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle;
appreciate nature through all our senses and to learn how to look after our earth;
become the girls/women that God would have us be!
